CS Chandan Gupta is a seasoned corporate professional with over 19 years of professional experience, including more than 10 years of post-qualification experience, specialising in corporate governance, compliance, legal affairs and audit.

He is a Fellow Member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com.) degree. He has also successfully completed the CA Intermediate examinations conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He has qualified the Independent Directors Examination conducted by the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), reflecting his professional exposure to corporate boards and governance matters. He is also qualified as a POSH & POSCO Trainer, with expertise in workplace ethics, compliance and sensitisation programmes.

Currently serving as Group Company Secretary at Asian Group — with offices in Howrah, Kolkata and Siliguri — he manages corporate compliance and legal affairs across more than 50 group entities, spanning tea, manufacturing and textile sectors.

His professional career includes successfully steering the listing of Indong Tea Company Limited on BSE and handling a preferential issue, along with extensive audit exposure across reputed Public Sector Undertakings and World Bank-aided projects.

During his tenure as Chairman of Hooghly Chapter, CS Chandan Gupta introduced several professional initiatives that strengthened the Chapter's engagement with members and students.

Introduced the concept of an Unstructured Annual Membership Scheme, described as the first such initiative in the Eastern Region of ICSI.

Launched virtual seminars through live streaming of physical seminars — among the earliest chapters in the Eastern Region to implement this format.
